If you have complaints due to pregnancy, you could get extra sickleave. You do not have to scale back in hours. That said, I think it depends a lot on your type of work and also how "heavy" the pregnancy is on your body. It is hard to tell in advance what will be feasible for your situation.

I still work fulltime, but I have an office job. Currently 33 weeks pregnant and my maternity leave will start in 3 weeks. 🥰

Well, at 22 weeks i couldn’t work my full 4 days anymore, so i had parttime sick leave and worked 4 hours a day. At 28 weeks the 4 hours were too much, so i worked till 34wks only 2h a day.
If you can hold on and work fulltime till 36 wks, thats fine. But if you have to cut hours, you have to go with maternity leave at 34 wks. You will always have the right of 16 wks paid maternity leave, but if your baby is late, you have the ‘luck’, because you will still have 10wks paid birthleave.
If you want more maternity leave, you can have 9 extra weeks paid for 70% percent of your salary.
Hope this give you enough answers.
Good luck!

I recommend to follow the feeling of your body and listen to it.

Depends, different for every woman. I still work fulltime and it’s is fine (28 weeks). Some women get more complaints than others. I would keep trying/doing it until you have complaints that prevent you from doing it 😊

Do what your body can handle. I worked 36 hours a week till 36 weeks. But I worked from home. Every pregnancy is different.

I worked for 5 days during my pregnancy. When you go om maternity leave you will also get paid for 5 days instead of 4. And I felt good enough as I have an Office job. It depends per person how tired you are. But as I was working mostly from home I could take a small nap during my break.

I worked 40 hours worked perfect for me. When I was pregnant we started working from home due to COVID so it was super easy on me.

I suppose it depends on how you feel and what kind of work you do. I have an office job and have worked 4x9, friday was my day off, till maternity leave. Which for me was when I was 29 weeks pregnant (twins and two weeks holiday left from last year). I had no problems with the hours.

Hi,
As for the duration of your maternity leave: the number of weeks you’re entitled to is the same, regardless of the hours on your contract. The amount you get paid during those weeks is equal to your normal salary, assuming you’re under contract. It’s different for those working e.g. on a freelance basis.
As for the number of days per week: that’s up to you to decide, depending on how good (or bad 🥴) you feel and how your body is coping with pregnancy. If you feel fine, 40 hours per week may work well for you. If you feel terrible, less might be better. Keep in mind that you can always take up pregnancy related sick leave if you’re not feeling well enough in the run up to your maternity leave.
Maternity leave starts in week 34, 35, or 36 latest.
